Press Release
Mad Mike Coming to the Rescue

Pequannock, New Jersey – “Mad Mike” (Michael Martin) from the MTV Show “Pimp My Ride” will be coming to Pequannock Township High School (PTHS), located at 85 Sunset Road, Pompton Plains, New Jersey, at 12 noon on Saturday July 28, 2007, to kick off a project to rejuvenate and restore the PTHS Band Bus. This bus is utilized to transport the various instruments that the band plays as it performs throughout the state.
Recently, after seeing photos of the current bus, Mad Mike said he would be very happy to be part of this special and charitable event, especially for the students. Mad Mike who had studied classical piano in his youth, stated:” one thing for sure, you need your musical equipment to your shows on time, safe, and rollin’ big”. He also went on to say, “These students don’t need an unsafe, doggie looking bus”.
The students of the PTHS Band and Mad Mike invite you to join them as they look over the bus, and come up with a plan to overhaul and modify this Mad Mike Project. In addition, if you would like to become part of this project by becoming a sponsor or donating services, please stop by and talk with Mad Mike and his crew on Saturday. Mad Mike is seeking help in the areas of: mechanical, welding, body work, painting, detailing, upholstery, auto wiring, cabinet / shelving, and bus parts.
Mad Mike is known as: The Man With The Plan, and has been Pimpin rides since 1985. For more information about Mad Mike, you can click onto his website at: www.cmimadmike.com
In addition, Mad Mike works at Galpin Auto Sports where the MTV show "Pimp My Ride" is filmed, and you can click onto that site at: www.galpinautosports.com
If you would like additional information on how you can help with this project, please contact the PTHS Band Parents Bus Project Coordinator Tom Lyons at: (973) 616-2570 or by clicking on the link below:
